Genesys is seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager, International Tax to join our growing Global Tax Planning team, reporting to the Senior Director of Global Tax Planning. This role is responsible for overseeing international tax compliance, planning, and reporting across the Companys global footprint.

This position plays a critical role in owning complex international tax calculations, modeling, and technical guidance, while acting as a key bridge between leadership and execution. In addition, this role will assist with transfer pricing, mergers and acquisitions, and other special projects, as needed.

This role will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external advisors to support strategic initiatives, mitigate risk, and optimize the companys global tax position. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in U.S. international tax, strong business acumen, and a proactive mindset to drive value in a dynamic global environment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Tax Planning & Risk Management

Lead and review complex international tax calculations and modeling, including GILTI, FDII, Subpart F, E&P, and Foreign Tax Credits (FTC)

Develop and execute international tax planning strategies to optimize global ETR and cash tax outcomes

Evaluate and advise on tax implications of cross-border transactions, including dividends, restructurings, and intercompany activities

Monitor global tax legislative developments and assess potential impacts to the Companys tax profile

Model tax impacts from planning strategies, legislative proposals, and law changes

Manage responses to tax audits and inquiries from foreign jurisdictions, ensuring appropriate documentation and defense strategies

Support global cash repatriation planning and execution in alignment with treasury and tax strategies

International Tax Compliance & Reporting

Oversee preparation and review of U.S. international tax filings, including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, and related disclosures

Manage and review quarterly and annual international tax provision calculations and ensure alignment with ASC 740 reporting

Support preparation of international components of the consolidated tax provision, including audit-ready documentation

Partner cross-functionally with accounting, FP&A, and other teams to support modeling, forecasting, and reporting needs

Monitor evolving global tax frameworks (including OECD Pillar Two) and support ongoing compliance requirements (limited direct ownership)

Maintain tax filing calendar and ensure timely coordination with internal stakeholders

Support SOX control testing and maintain documentation related to U.S. international taxation processes

Technology & Process Improvement

Identify and implement tax technology solutions to streamline international tax processes

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability

Utilize tax compliance and research tools (e.g., Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg, CCH) to support analysis and reporting

Team Leadership & Development

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to managers and team members supporting international tax

Act as a key escalation point for complex technical questions and modeling challenges

Contribute to knowledge sharing and cross-training initiatives within the tax function

Desired Skills and Experience

8+ years of progressive tax experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm, multinational corporate tax department, or law firm, with emphasis on U.S. international taxation

Extensive knowledge of U.S. international tax rules and regulations, including GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F, E&P, and Foreign Tax Credits (FTC)

Strong experience with international tax calculations and modeling (critical for success in role)

Understanding of how international tax calculations impact ASC 740 tax provision and financial reporting

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution

CPA certification, Masters Degree in Taxation, or J.D. / LL.M. (Taxation) preferred

Experience supporting cross-border transactions and exposure to M&A and transfer pricing concepts

Familiarity with tax research tools (Bloomberg, CCH) and ability to validate technical positions beyond AI-generated outputs

Strong project management, leadership, and team development skills

Ability to communicate effectively across levels and functions, translating complex tax concepts into business insights

Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Strong organizational, planning, and stakeholder management skills

Collaborative team player who fosters partnership across a global organization

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidates experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.

$135,900.00 - $239,100.00
