    Position Purpose:

    Ever wonder how an online click turns into a perfectly timed delivery? It takes serious operational magic, and a team of incredible communicators to tell that story. As the senior manager of Internal Communications, you'll be the strategic voice championing our Supply Chain and Interconnected (digital/online) teams. Why both? Because a seamless online shopping experience relies on an industry-leading fulfillment and delivery network to get customers what they need, when and where they need it.

    This role will partner closely with members of our leadership teams to craft compelling, integrated narratives that inform, inspire, and engage our associates. As a trusted strategic advisor, you will transform complex business objectives into captivating communication campaigns that highlight how our supply chain and distribution operations power our interconnected success.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan and execute proactive, integrated internal/external communications initiatives.
    • Build Client relationships; develop deep understanding of varied and complex communications needs of client's business or functional area. Become fully immersed in assigned functional businesses (e.g., attend client staff meetings, strategic planning sessions, and other team gatherings.)
    • Counsel internal business clients on most effective communications strategies and tactics.
    • Develop communications strategies and plans that are consistent with Company and individual business units' goals. Review and approve all implementation components of any client approved communications initiatives. Maintain current and accurate documentation, and coordinate and/or perform testing of new communications vehicles.
    • Work with other communications colleagues in planning/scheduling and sourcing resources. Act as liaison with outside vendors and agencies as appropriate in support of clients, as appropriate. This includes managing any associated budgets.
    • Create and maintain wrap-up and executive summary reports that provide measurement analysis and recommendations for continuous improvement.

    Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

    • Reports to Director, Corporate Communications.
    • This role has 3 direct reports.

    Travel Requirements:

    • Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

    Working Conditions:

    • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
    • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Degree in English or Journalism preferred
    • Experience in large-scale strategic communications planning
    • AI Fluency & Innovation: Hands-on knowledge and experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence tools (e.g., Generative AI for text, data analysis, or creative assets) to optimize content creation, streamline workflows, and enhance modern communication strategies.
    • PR & Media Relations Experience
    • Experience in Project Management
    • Experience managing staff

    Minimum Education:

    • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

    • Ability to synthesize complex and sensitive materials into compelling and persuasive content that will connect and impact intended audiences.
