As a senior manager of financial reporting within our Statutory Reporting organization, you'll maintain the financial integrity of the company's published financial reports for multiple insurance entities under the Progressive Corporation umbrella. In this role, you'll establish the overall corporate accounting strategy and vision. You'll serve as a critical link between the director of financial reporting and the financial reporting managers, overseeing complex reporting functions, ensuring compliance with evolving accounting standards, and managing the team responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting. You'll also manage accounting, financial reporting, analysis, and guidance efforts.

This is a remote position. You'll be expected to have the ability to travel monthly for business meetings.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or related field of study (e.g., Finance) and a minimum of 8 years specialized accounting (e.g. reinsurance, investments), financial reporting, or public accounting experience, with at least 4 years leadership experience (e.g., management).

Preferred skills

  • Prior experience responsible for statutory reporting across multiple insurance entities.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing complex reporting structures with multiple layers of reports.
  • Strong relationship development skills with the ability to build partnerships with executives from corporate finance and business areas.
  • Property and casualty insurance experience.
  • Experience interacting with insurance regulators and audit functions.

Compensation

  • $115,400 - $164,800/year
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
  • Participation in our restricted stock units plan
