Visa is seeking a visionary, execution-oriented leader to join the Finance AI Acceleration Office as a Senior Manager. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of Finance through AI by identifying high-impact business opportunities, building and validating AI-enabled solutions, and accelerating enterprise-wide adoption of generative AI and intelligent automation capabilities.
Reporting to a Senior Director within Finance, this Individual Contributor role will serve as a strategic partner to Finance, Technology, Data, and
Transformation leaders, driving AI initiatives from idea generation and prototype development through enterprise deployment and value realization. The ideal candidate combines strong executive presence, product ownership experience, business transformation expertise, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone who has successfully led transformation initiatives, built proof-of-concepts and prototypes, translated complex business challenges into scalable AI solutions, and thrivesoperating at the intersection of strategy, technology, and business execution.
Key Responsibilities
AI Product Strategy & Ownership
Serve as Product Owner for a portfolio of Finance AI products and solutions, defining product vision, roadmap, priorities, and success metrics.
Continuously gather stakeholder feedback and performance insights to refine product direction and maximize adoption.
AI Transformation & Innovation Leadership
Drive Finance AI transformation initiatives from concept through implementation and value realization.
Lead rapid experimentation efforts, including development of AI prototypes, proof of concepts (POCs), and minimumviable products (MVPs), to validate business opportunities and accelerate decision making.
Program Delivery & Execution Excellence
Manage a portfolio of strategic AI initiatives across multiple Finance functions and stakeholders.
Drive initiatives through intake, prioritization, design, development, testing, deployment, adoption, and ongoing optimization.
Define measurable success criteria, KPIs, and value realization frameworks to track outcomes and business impact.
Proactively manage risks, dependencies, resource requirements, and execution plans to ensure successful delivery.
Deliver clear communication and executive-ready updates on program progress, challenges, and outcomes.
Executive Engagement & Stakeholder Influence
Build trusted relationships with senior Finance, Technology, and Transformation leaders.
Effectively communicate technical concepts and AI opportunities to executive and non-technical audiences.
Facilitate leadership discussions, strategy workshops, design thinking sessions, and business case reviews.
Influence decision-making across a highly matrixed organization by aligning diverse stakeholder priorities and driving consensus.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as the connective tissue across business and technology organizations to accelerate execution and remove barriers.
This role is hybrid position to be based in our Bay Area office locations (San Francisco, CA or Foster City, CA). Expectations of in office days will be aligned by the hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Demonstrated experience leading AI, Generative AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, or advanced analytics initiatives from ideation through implementation.
Strong product ownership experience, including roadmap development, backlog prioritization, user story creation, and stakeholder management.
Experience driving large-scale business transformation initiatives involving process redesign, technology adoption, and change management.
Exceptional executive presence with demonstrated success influencing senior leaders and navigating complex matrixed organizations.
Experience working across multiple functions, including Finance, Technology, Data, Operations, Risk, and Business Transformation teams.
Understanding of Generative AI technologies, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, prompt engineering, and AI product development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
Experience within Consulting or Finance Transformation environments strongly preferred.
Experience in Finance domains such as Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay or Order-to-Cash, is highly desirable.
