Were looking for a Senior Manager to lead the data strategy and the teams responsible for Apples Environment, Supply Chain & Innovation (ESCI) data foundation - the system of record behind Apples reporting on labor and human rights, supplier readiness & development, community engagement, materials, carbon, chemistry and resources. This work underpins both Apples public commitments and the assurance and audit processes that stand behind them.
In this role youll own the product vision end-to-end, from strategy and roadmap to hands-on execution with cross-functional teams spanning Product Managers, Designers, Software and Platform Engineers. Youll inherit a portfolio of systems at mixed maturity including environmental metrics and supplier-facing tools. A core part of the job is sequencing and balancing resources and being clear with internal and cross functional partners about priorities.
Youll be a people-first leader who can grow and mentor a high-performing team while aligning everyone around a shared vision and navigating trade-offs between user experience, technical feasibility, regulatory requirements, delivery timelines, and driving Apple values. Youll be based in Cupertino managing a team distributed between Cupertino and Austin and working across the full set of functions that depend on this data. Our team builds the applications and custom AI agents that enable Apple to manufacture every product we ship, and to know and report how it was made - including strict compliance with Apple's Supplier Code of Conduct, the materials used, and the environmental footprint. Its high-impact work at the core of Apples operations.

Youll be someone who anticipates problems without over-architecting solutions, who can distill complex challenges into clear, simple outcomes, and who is equally comfortable making a mature system quietly excellent and making the case to rebuild one that has reached its limits.
Periodic international travel required (Shanghai, Europe) to connect with our in-region counterparts, supplier-facing teams, and the end users who depend on what we build.Proven track record in change management 10+ years managing software engineering or product teams 5+ years leading a combined Product and Engineering organization with full cross-functional ownership across Product Management, Design, and Engineering Strong understanding of software development, APIs, and platform/infrastructure concepts Proven track record of defining and delivering a product vision across multiple applications, spanning both mature systems in active production use and platforms requiring significant modernization or replacement Ability to translate ambiguous business problems and evolving regulatory requirements into clear product solutions Experience partnering with senior stakeholders across functions - including legal, communications, and audit or assurance functions - and presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences Familiarity with auditing systems, assessment workflows, and reporting or assurance standards, and the data integrity and traceability requirements they impose Experience managing distributed teams across multiple locations Bachelors degree Experience with supply chain, supplier responsibility, labor and human rights, or social impact data and systems Experience in manufacturing or environmental systems Experience with third-party audit, assurance, or certification processes Experience building or overseeing AI agent development Experience working with international teams or counterparts
