The Senior Manager -Energy Procurement is responsible for setting strategy and developing, monitoring, and communicating Company positions on and responses to regulatory, legislative, and public policy issues at both the state and federal level; primarily, in the areas of retail and wholesale markets, rates, and environment (clean & renewable energy), and related programs. The position requires expertise in Company regulatory policies, procedures and rate tariffs, as well as strong analytical, and written and oral communication skills. The Senior Manager-Energy Procurement represents Rhode Island Energy before regulatory agencies and their staff and facilitates communication between Company personnel and regulatory agencies. This role is responsible for the development and execution of energy procurement programs that adhere to all applicable state, ISO, and federal rules.
