Senior Manager, Delivery - Process Improvement

    About the Role

Argano''s Business Consulting practice partners with organizations to design, optimize, and transform how work gets done - end to end, across functions, and across the entire value chain. As a Senior Manager of Process Improvement, you will lead complex engagements that deliver measurable operational outcomes by redesigning the processes that connect strategy to execution.

This is a senior client-facing leadership role. You will own the delivery relationship with client business leaders and project sponsors, lead end-to-end process assessments and redesign initiatives, and serve as a subject matter authority across multiple functional domains - from customer order management through fulfillment, finance, procurement, HR, and operations. Your engagements will not be limited to a single function: you will be expected to see and design across the full value chain.

You will also play an active role in building Argano''s practice capabilities - developing methodologies, tools, and the next generation of process improvement talent. Typical engagements span process maturity assessments, operating model redesign, integrated planning transformation, and enterprise process harmonization - across a range of industries and enterprise environments.

    What You''ll Do

    Engagement Leadership & Delivery

Partner with Engagement and Project Managers to translate high-level plans into detailed delivery workplans and inventories of required deliverables

Apply Argano''s LIFT delivery methodology and incorporate key learnings from prior engagements to build approaches uniquely fitted to each client situation

Establish strong working relationships with client business leaders, project sponsors, and functional stakeholders across multiple departments

Lead blueprint and design sessions to develop seamless, integrated solutions that cross functional and organizational boundaries

Manage delivery across one or more concurrent client engagements - maintaining quality, pace, and client confidence throughout

    End-to-End Process Assessment & Design

Lead current-state process discovery and documentation across multiple functional domains - mapping how work actually flows end to end, not just within individual functions

Identify process fragmentation, handoff failures, redundancies, and control gaps across the full value chain - from customer demand through delivery, invoicing, and support

Design future-state processes that are integrated across functions, optimized for the client''s business objectives, and sized appropriately for the organization''s maturity

Benchmark client processes against industry best practices and reference frameworks (e.g. APQC PCF, SCOR, DCOR, or industry-specific models) to identify gaps and prioritization opportunities

Facilitate cross-functional workshops that bring together stakeholders from Sales, Operations, Finance, Procurement, HR, and IT to co-design integrated solutions

Develop process documentation including end-to-end process maps, SOPs, RACI frameworks, handoff protocols, and governance models

    Process Improvement & Value Delivery

Lead supply chain and decision analysis to identify and size improvement opportunities across planning, logistics, distribution, and fulfillment

Guide statistical analysis, financial modeling, and process optimization work to quantify and build the investment case for client action

Develop process improvement roadmaps with initiatives prioritized by value, effort, interdependency, and organizational readiness

Design governance frameworks and operating models that sustain process improvement after the engagement concludes

Leverage analytics and business intelligence tools to develop data-driven insights and performance benchmarks for clients

    Cross-Functional Domain Coverage

A successful candidate brings end-to-end process expertise across multiple of the following domains - and understands how they connect:

Order-to-Cash (O2C) - customer order management, fulfillment, invoicing, collections

Procure-to-Pay (P2P) - sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, accounts payable

Plan-to-Produce / Integrated Business Planning - S&OP, S&OE, demand planning, capacity planning, inventory management

Record-to-Report (R2R) - financial close, management reporting, cost accounting, reconciliation

Hire-to-Retire (H2R) - workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, offboarding

Supply Chain Execution - warehousing, logistics, transportation, distribution network optimization

Service-to-Resolve - customer service, field service, warranty management, returns and repairs

The strongest candidates will have led cross-functional improvement initiatives that required coordinating redesign efforts across two or more of these domains simultaneously.

    Practice Development & Capability Building

Actively contribute to the development and refinement of Argano''s Process Improvement methodologies, tools, and accelerators

Lead and champion a defined set of leading-practice capabilities within the community of practice - teaching and enabling colleagues to deploy them effectively on engagements

    Business Development

Build trusted relationships with client leaders that generate expansion opportunities and long-term partnerships

Contribute to proposals and business development pursuits by bringing deep process domain expertise and a track record of measurable delivery

Participate in thought leadership and knowledge-sharing activities that strengthen Argano''s market position

    Travel

Up to 50% travel to client sites, depending on project phase and engagement requirements - typically higher during discovery, blueprint, and cross-functional design workshops

    Qualifications

    Education

Bachelor''s degree preferred; business, operations, engineering, or finance disciplines are strong fits

Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Operations, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain) is an advantage

Relevant certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), or BPM Professional (CBPP) are valued

    Required Experience

10+ years of experience in process improvement, management consulting, or operational leadership roles - with demonstrated scope across multiple business functions

Proven ability to lead end-to-end process assessments and redesign engagements - not limited to a single function or department

Experience in a Manager-level or above role within an operational organization, or equivalent experience as a process improvement or management consultant

Deep knowledge and demonstrated results in at least two functional process domains (e.g. O2C, P2P, S&OP/IBP, R2R, H2R, or supply chain execution)

Experience facilitating cross-functional workshops with senior stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and/or HR

Demonstrated experience leading teams of four or more people in a consulting or operational environment

Strong analytical capabilities - proficiency in data analysis, process modeling, statistical analysis, and BI tools (Excel, Alteryx, Python, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent)

Ability to communicate complex, cross-functional process topics clearly to executive, operational, and technical audiences

    Preferred Experience

Experience supporting or working alongside enterprise technology implementations - ensuring process design drives system configuration, not the reverse (system agnostic - SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft, or other platforms)

Familiarity with process improvement and optimization methodologies: Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, BPM, or equivalent

Experience with process mapping and mining tools (Signavio, Celonis, Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalent)

Knowledge of end-to-end process reference frameworks: APQC PCF, SCOR, DCOR, or industry-specific models

Experience developing investment business cases with quantified ROI, value-at-stake, and sensitivity analysis

Background working across multiple industries - manufacturing, consumer goods, retail, chemicals, life sciences, financial services, or industrial preferred

    What We''re Looking For

Beyond the technical qualifications, we are looking for someone who:

Sees across functions - understands that process problems rarely live inside one department, and designs solutions that address the real handoff and integration failures between them

Leads with credibility - earns the confidence of client executives and functional leaders through substance, preparation, and sound judgment

Drives to outcomes - focused on what the client actually achieves, not just what gets documented or presented

Brings structure to complexity - enters ambiguous, cross-functional environments, asks the right questions, and builds clarity where there was none

Develops others - genuinely invested in making the people around them better, whether a client team, a junior consultant, or a cross-functional stakeholder group

Is ready for the work - this role involves real complexity, real client pressure, and real accountability across multiple functions simultaneously. The rewards match the challenge.
