Job Details
We are seeking a hands-on Data & BI Manager to lead a five-person team across Data Engineering and Power BI while playing a key role in modernizing the organization's enterprise data architecture.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has grown from a technical IT or data engineering background into leadership but still enjoys being close to the technology.
You'll work across Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Oracle, and Salesforce, helping create a more scalable and reliable data environment supporting Finance, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Sales.
The role will have meaningful influence over architecture decisions, data modeling, BI strategy, and how information moves from source systems through the organization. You'll partner closely with senior leadership to develop the roadmap, prioritize projects, and translate complex business requirements into practical technical solutions.
You'll also lead and develop a talented technical team, bringing structure, accountability, and mentorship while remaining willing to roll up your sleeves alongside them when needed.
What You'll Bring
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric
Data architecture modernization and data modeling experience
Strong understanding of Power BI and enterprise reporting environments
Technical foundation in IT, Data Engineering, BI, or Data Architecture
Ability to understand complex data flows across multiple enterprise systems
Strong business acumen and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Experience leading, mentoring, or developing technical professionals
Organized, collaborative leadership style with the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
Experience within manufacturing, transportation, logistics, distribution, or another operationally complex environment is especially valuable.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first year, you'll have helped establish a clear roadmap for the organization's future data architecture, strengthened the connection between Data Engineering and BI, improved the reliability and accessibility of enterprise reporting, and developed a team increasingly viewed as a strategic partner to the business.
