Job Summary: As a Senior Cyber Security Manager

  • Lead a technical cybersecurity team responsible for enterprise security engineering, security tooling operations, and exposure/vulnerability management within the Global Enterprise Security Program. You’ll own the security tool portfolio, including configuration, administration, integration, tuning, coverage management, platform health, lifecycle planning, and continuous improvement of key cybersecurity capabilities such as EDR, NDR, IDPS, vulnerability scanning, exposure management, security monitoring, cloud security tooling, and related detection/control platforms.  
  • Simultaneously lead the enterprise vulnerability management function, ensuring timely identification, validation, prioritization, assignment, remediation tracking, exception handling, and reporting of security risks across infrastructure, endpoints, cloud environments, applications, and business-critical assets. Ensures tooling coverage, telemetry quality, alert fidelity, control effectiveness, and operational performance meet business, security, and compliance requirements.
  • You’ll partner with Security Operations, Infrastructure, Cloud, Engineering, IT, Compliance, and business stakeholders to drive measurable risk reduction, improve detection and response capabilities, and ensure security tools are behaving optimally. Establishes operational metrics, reporting, tool health dashboards, coverage reporting, vulnerability SLAs, and continuous improvement plans to support operational and executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage or operate enterprise security tools such as EDR, NDR, IDPS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, exposure management platforms, SIEM/SOAR integrations, cloud security tooling, asset inventory/CAASM, and security monitoring platforms.
  • Assess whether security tools are deployed correctly, producing expected telemetry, integrated with downstream platforms, tuned appropriately, and delivering intended security outcomes.
  • Lead technical teams responsible for security engineering, security operations tooling, vulnerability management, detection engineering, incident investigation, or infrastructure/cloud security.
  • Translate technical findings into operational plans, remediation priorities, risk decisions, and executive-level reporting.
  • Consistently demonstrate accountability, discipline, high performance, and a proven track record of exceptional results.
  • Exhibit technical Leadership and manage professional employees and/or team leads.
  • Be accountable for the performance and results of a team.
  • Adapt functional area plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.

  • Participate in business continuity planning, data loss prevention and fraud prevention.
  • Responsible for a variety of security initiatives and vendors that safeguard the company's assets, intellectual property and computer systems.
  • Identify security architecture, protection goals, objectives and metrics consistent with corporate strategic plan.
  • Manage the development and implementation of global security policy, standards, guidelines and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security.
  • Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches and assists with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches as necessary.
  • Work with outside consultants as appropriate for independent security audits. Experience leading and directing, related to planning, developing and implementation of technical security systems, controls and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical discipline required.
  • CISSP, CISM, CRISC, OSCP, GPEN, or equivalent certification desirable.
  • 10+ years of relevant technical work experience required.
  • 4+ years of relevant technical management experience required .
  • Experience owning enterprise security tools, vulnerability management programs, operational metrics, vendor relationships, and cross-functional remediation outcomes required.
  • Hands-on technical security depth is required; candidates should be able to evaluate whether security tools are properly deployed, integrated, tuned, monitored, and delivering expected coverage and risk reduction outcomes.
  • Have strong understanding of vulnerability management lifecycle practices, including asset discovery, authenticated scanning, vulnerability validation, CVSS/EPSS/exploitability-based prioritization, remediation tracking, exception management, SLA governance, and executive reporting.

Work Location/Travel:

  • If located in San Antonio, TX you’ll work a hybrid schedule with 2 days in our office, and three days remotely.
  • If located outside of San Antonio, TX you may work 100% remotely.
  • Infrequent travel may be required (Between 0 – 10% annually).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The compensation range for this position ranges from $148,011.00/year in our lowest geographic market up to 217,082.80 USD/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
