    Position Summary...

    The Senior Manager, Business Analysis & Insights – Benefits & Labor Operations is a strategic leadership role within the Spark Driver Earnings Excellence organization, responsible for driving the analytics, strategy, governance, and execution of contractor earnings operations, labor compliance, benefits-related programs, payment controls, and operational risk management.

    This leader serves as the critical bridge between Business, Product, Engineering, Tax, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Operations, translating complex regulatory, labor, and operational requirements into scalable, audit-ready processes and platform capabilities. Through data-driven insights, automation, and cross-functional leadership, this role ensures accurate earnings experiences, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and driver trust across the Spark ecosystem.


    About the Team:

    The Spark Driver Earnings Excellence team sits at the center of the Spark Driver ecosystem, ensuring independent contractors are paid accurately, transparently, and on time. The organization is responsible for the end-to-end earnings lifecycle, including earnings calculations, incentives, disbursements, tax reporting, withholdings, garnishments, compliance, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

    Within Earnings Excellence, the Business Analysis & Insights team serves as the intelligence and innovation engine for the organization. We partner across Product, Engineering, Benefits/Labor Ops, Tax, Legal, Finance, Compliance, and Trust & Safety to transform complex business, compliance, labor, and regulatory requirements into scalable solutions. Through analytics, automation, AI-driven insights, and continuous improvement, we drive operational excellence, payment accuracy, compliance adherence, and risk mitigation while strengthening driver trust.

    What you'll do...

    • Lead the strategy and execution of contractor labor operations, earnings governance, benefits-related programs, and compliance initiatives.
    • Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Benefit/Labor Ops, Finance, Compliance and leaders to translate complex labor, regulatory, and operational requirements into scalable processes and system capabilities.
    • Drive analytics, KPI development, dashboards, automation initiatives, and AI-enabled insights to improve operational effectiveness, payment accuracy, compliance outcomes, and driver experience.
    • Oversee labor operations activities related to contractor earnings, incentives, deductions, adjustments, disbursements, garnishments, liens, and statutory withholding requirements.
    • Interpret and apply labor, tax, and compliance requirements while developing operational controls and governance frameworks that reduce risk and improve transparency.
    • Lead business readiness activities including requirements gathering, process design, UAT strategy and execution, deployment planning, change management, and production launch support.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and identify opportunities to improve operational performance, compliance effectiveness, and platform capabilities.
    • Establish and maintain control frameworks, risk-control matrices, audit readiness processes, and compliance monitoring related to contractor earnings operations.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor during routine and high-profile operational, compliance, and labor-related situations, providing sound judgment and data-driven recommendations.
    • Influence product roadmaps and investment decisions through business insights, operational analysis, and strategic planning.

    What you'll bring...
    • Deep expertise in HR/labor operations, compliance programs, operational governance, business analysis, or other highly regulated environments.
    • Strong understanding of labor laws, regulatory requirements, compliance controls, and risk management practices.
    • Experience supporting contractor, payroll, benefits, earnings, payment, or workforce-related operational programs.
    • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex regulatory and business requirements and translate them into scalable processes, controls, and technology solutions.
    • Proven experience leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives involving Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Tax, and Operations teams.
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to transform complex data into actionable business recommendations.
    • Experience building metrics, dashboards, KPIs, and operational reporting frameworks that improve visibility and decision-making.
    • Ability to exercise sound judgment and effectively manage routine and controversial situations with professionalism and objectivity.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
    • Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, personalities, and leadership levels while building strong collaborative relationships.
    • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Bentonville, Arkansas US-30099: The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00
    Sunnyvale, California US-11656: The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $202,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
