Job Description:

Position Summary

This position is responsible for directing and leading all aspects of sales and services for an assigned subset of agronomy locations. This is achieved through effectively planning and ensuring execution of sales, profit plans, all aspects of location operations and capital improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, recommend, and implement an organizational structure along with annual expense, capital, workforce, and training plans necessary to meet objectives for safety, efficiency, customer service and profitability of the assigned locations

  • Identifies and implements a sales vision, strategy, and objectives by developing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the overall industry and the markets served

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team to meet the organization's expectations for safety, productivity, quality, and achievement of financial objectives

  • Ensure key operating data is accessible and formatted in a manner that effectively communicates results and trends to the operations team and group leadership teams

  • Collaborate and coordinate with other operations leaders to develop group-wide operational plans, support the strategic planning process, and ensure resulting plans and strategies are communicated to location management

  • Coordinates with marketing and product management to provide field input on product requirements, pricing/program recommendations, and competitive information

  • Provides realistic and challenging input to the process of setting annual sales targets and supplies periodic sales forecasts to finance during the plan year

  • Provides leadership to managers, supervisors and/or professional staff

  • Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related units

  • Develops departmental plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities

  • Controls resources and policy formation in area of responsibility

  • Decisions are guided by resource availability and functional objectives

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred

  • 7-10 years' relevant experience required

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

  • Must have a valid Driver's License

  • Must be able to drive for the company according to the Company's Vehicle Safety and Driver Qualification Policy

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer
