Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager with 12-15 years of progressive accounting experience, including 7+ years in a leadership role, to join our Salt Lake City accounting team. Key Responsibilities

• \tLead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• \tDevelop, mentor, and coach members of the accounting team, fostering technical expertise and continuous improvement.

• \tReview complex accounting transactions and ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.

• \tPartner with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting matters and improve business processes.

• \tMaintain and strengthen internal controls.

• \tAssist with external audits by responding to auditor inquiries and supporting documentation requests.

• \tAnalyze financial results, investigate unusual variances, and provide meaningful insights to management.

• \tDevelop and improve accounting processes to increase efficiency while maintaining strong controls.

• \tParticipate in special projects, system implementations, acquisitions, and process improvement initiatives.

• \tServe as a trusted technical accounting resource across the organization.

Qualifications and Required Experience

• \tBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• \tCPA designation preferred.

• \t12 -15 years of progressive accounting experience, with 7+ years of leadership experience

• \tProven ability to build strong partnerships with business leaders while providing accounting guidance.

• \tExperience managing month-end close and general ledger accounting.

• \tDemonstrated success developing, mentoring, and leading accounting professionals.

• \tProven ability to lead and develop teams, foster accountability, and support employee growth.

• \tExperience supporting external audits and working with independent auditors.
