    Description

    This position will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of process and building equipment and will assist in the completion and implementation of the Preventative Maintenance Program. This position will also be responsible for coordinating small projects and performing in-house project/fabrication work as assigned. Other duties include assisting the Maintenance Foreman with Work Order assignments and parts inventory as necessary.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for position, as well as all safety procedures required at your worksite. Promote safety by making suggestions for improvement and promptly reporting all incidents and safety issues to your supervisor/manager.

    • General Building & Process Equipment: Perform maintenance and repairs across remaining process and building equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, process piping, wastewater treatment, and production machinery, while assisting in the management of the Building Management System (BMS).

    • CNC Machines: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of CNC machines, performing complex electrical and mechanical work involving motors, gearboxes, drives, pneumatics, and precision alignment to ensure maximum uptime and accuracy.

    • Responsible for the completion of all project/fabrication work. Responsible for the coordination of all tasks, the procurement of all necessary parts/supplies and timely communication and follow-up with the customer/requestor.

    • Assist in the completion and implementation of the Preventative Maintenance Program. Perform preventative maintenance on all process and building equipment in accordance with the program. Test and inspect the electrical components of all emergency and life safety systems to meet FM, NFPA, OSHA, and all agency standards and guidelines.

    • Communicate with outside vendors as needed for service support, parts supplies, etc. Support outside contractors scheduled to complete projects within the facility.

    • Trains Technicians on production equipment as well as building systems and processes. Proposes continuous improvement opportunities for all processes. Will document and submit to management all necessary revisions to preventative maintenance programs.

    Required Qualifications:

    Minimum 10 years' experience in job related field

    Ability to solve problems

    Ability to use power tools and craft equipment

    Ability to read blueprints

    Advanced Plumbing and Pipefitting experience

    Advanced Carpentry and Fabrication Skills

    Must have good computer skills

    Strong English communication skills, both verbally and written

    Ability to lift and move heavy objects

    Must be flexible with work hours, including off-shift and weekends, as needed

    Must be able to respond to building related emergency calls after hours

    Available to work overtime as needed

    Must be able to coordinate tasks with outside vendors

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Technical degree, a plus

    Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Programs

    Welding Experience

    Leadership experience

    CNC Troubleshooting, Repair and Programing

    Fanuc

    Siemens
