Senior Maintenance & Engineering Manager

Shenandoah Valley, Virginia | $150,000–$175,000 base + bonus | Relocation assistance available

We represent an established food manufacturer seeking a senior leader to oversee maintenance, engineering, automation, and supporting plant services. The immediate focus is improving equipment reliability, strengthening maintenance programs, and developing the technical team.

This is a leadership position, with department leaders reporting to you. It could offer advancement for an experienced Maintenance & Engineering Manager ready for broader responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical teams and partner with Operations to improve plant reliability and performance.

• Strengthen preventive maintenance, work planning, and spare parts management.

• Oversee engineering projects, equipment improvements, and plant infrastructure.

• Manage budgets, develop department leaders, and help hire a Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of progressively responsible maintenance or engineering management experience.

• At least five years of food manufacturing experience.

• Strong maintenance and reliability background with demonstrated team leadership.

• Experience managing managers preferred; qualified candidates seeking advancement will be considered.

• Engineering or related degree preferred. Extensive relevant experience may substitute.

Schedule and benefits

Primarily Monday–Friday, day shift, with flexibility to support plant needs outside normal hours. This is an onsite role.
