    YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

    The Senior Low Voltage Estimator leads the estimating process for low voltage construction and technology infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for analyzing project requirements, preparing detailed cost estimates and bid packages, evaluating vendor and subcontractor pricing, and ensuring all proposals are complete and competitive. The Senior Low Voltage Estimator partners with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to develop winning solutions for structured cabling, security, access control, audiovisual, and related low voltage systems while supporting overall business objectives and project profitability.

    Salary range $150K - $180K

     

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    • Prepareestimatefromquantitytake-offonprojectandcompleteestimatetocomputerprintout. 

    • Identifypartsofprojectthatmaybekeytomakingacompetitiveestimate. 

    • Reviewproposalspecifications,drawings,andattendpre-bidmeetingstodeterminescopeofwork and contents of estimate. 

    • Evaluateareasforpotentialvalueengineeringcostsavings. 

    • Provideleadershiptopersonnelpreparingdisciplinesubestimatesforassignedbids. 

    • Ensureallworkingdocumentsanddataaremaintainedtoback-upestimatefigures. 

    • Developlaborproductivityand(installationunitcostswhere applicable)basedonprojectedsite conditions and historical data. 

    • Preparedetailedlistingofmaterialandequipmentitemsfortheestimateandtoobtainquotes. 

    • Identifyqualifiedsuppliers/subcontractorsandberesponsibleforsolicitingquotes.Reviewquotesfor completeness and conformance with plans and specs. 

    • Responsibleforthetimelycompletionofallclient-requireddocuments. 

    • Draftscope/proposallettersforbidandnegotiatedprojects. 

    • Priortotheissuingoftheformalbidpackage,providetheChiefEstimator withadetailedreviewof scope, technical requirements, and pricing for the estimated bid package. 

    • After the successful bid at project turnover, meet with the Project Management departments to fullyexplainjobscope,potentialareasofattentionandotheraspectsforthesuccessfultransitionof the project. 

    • Maintainfilesofallworkingdocumentstoback-upestimatefiguresandupdatetheRosendin approved estimating program. 

    • Thedutiesandresponsibilitiesareintendedtodescribethegeneralnatureandscopeofworkbeing performed by this position.This is not acomplete listing and other duties will beassigned basedon the position’s role within the business unit. 

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

    • Readandinterpretblueprintsand/orengineeringdesign drawings 

    • Performarithmeticcalculationsforestimating 

    • Estimatealltypesofprojectsandtocoordinateandsupervisegroupworkeffort essential 

    • Mentorandassistwiththedevelopmentof Estimators 

    • Identifyandmeetcustomers’needs,expectations,andrequirements 

    • ProficientinusingacomputerandMicrosoftOffice(,Outlook,Word,Excel,etc.) 

    • Prioritizeandmanagemultipletasksandchangeprioritiesasnecessary 

    • Workunderpressureandadapttochangingrequirementswithapositiveattitude 

    • Oralandwrittencommunicationskillsasforthe position 

    • Self-motivated,proactiveandaneffectiveteamplayer 

    • Interacteffectivelyandprofessionallywithalllevelsofemployees,bothmanagementand staff alike, vendors, clients, and others 

    WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

    • Bachelor’sdegreeinConstructionManagement,Engineering,orarelatedfield 

    • Minimum4years’estimatingorotherrelevantexperienceinclosingconstructionsestimates 

    • ExperienceinAccubidestimatingsoftware,LivecountCloud,andBluebeam software preferred 

    • ExperienceinCADor3Dsoftwarepreferred 

    • Canbeacombinationofeducation,training,andrelevant experience 

    TRAVEL: 

    • Upto10% 

    WORKINGCONDITIONS: 

    • Generalworkenvironment-sittingforextended periods, standing,walking,typing,carrying,pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. 

    • Noiselevelistypically lowtomedium;it canbeloudonajob site. 

    • Occasionalliftingofupto30lbs.

    Pay Range

    $128,000.00-$167,900.00 Annual

    The pay range for this role is what we expect to pay for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Candidate’s pay can vary based on location, job-related experience, skills, and education.
