Senior Sales Account Executive

(Senior Logistics Consultant)

A global freight forwarding organization is seeking a high-performing Senior Sales Account Executive to manage the full sales lifecycle and act as a trusted logistics advisor to clients. This role is ideal for a motivated, consultative sales professional with strong experience in ocean and/or air freight who thrives in a hunter-style sales environment.

Position Summary

The Senior Sales Account Executive is responsible for identifying, developing, and growing new business opportunities within an assigned territory. This individual will lead the sales process from prospecting and discovery through solution design and client presentations, delivering customized freight forwarding and logistics solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a book of business through proactive outreach, including cold calling, networking, trade shows, and in-person client meetings
  • Conduct discovery calls and client consultations to identify logistics needs and recommend tailored solutions
  • Present and sell a full suite of logistics services, including:
    • Ocean Import & Export
    • Air Import & Export
    • Trucking
    • Distribution & Warehousing
    • Customs Brokerage
    • Cargo Insurance
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue targets established by sales leadership
  • Collaborate with internal CRM and operations teams to support customer success
  • Maintain consistent communication with internal stakeholders and international offices
  • Travel locally to conduct client meetings, presentations, and relationship-building activities

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of direct sales experience in ocean and/or air freight forwarding
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong knowledge of the local market and sales territory
  • Hunter mentality with strong emotional intelligence, integrity, and resilience
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally for client engagements
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using CargoWise One or a similar logistics ERP system
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
