A bit about us:We are an established, highly regarded plaintiff-side litigation firm representing individuals and families in complex personal injury, medical malpractice, and serious injury matters. Our attorneys are experienced trial lawyers who take pride in fighting for clients, preparing cases thoroughly, and delivering exceptional legal representation.
Our team believes great outcomes come from strong collaboration between attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. We have built a working environment where paralegals are trusted to take ownership of their cases, leadership is accessible, and employees have the resources and support they need to do their best work.
We are looking for a Senior Litigation Paralegal who enjoys substantive litigation, understands what it takes to prepare for trial, and wants to be part of a team that genuinely works together.
Why join us?- Work alongside experienced trial attorneys handling meaningful, complex litigation.
- Have a dedicated junior paralegal already in place to support your caseload.
- Focus on substantive litigation rather than spending your day coordinating depositions and mediations; a dedicated scheduler handles those responsibilities.
- Receive additional administrative support, including assistance with client treatment follow-up.
- Take ownership of your work in an environment that values initiative and independent thinking.
- Join a collaborative team with approachable leadership and a genuine team-first culture.
- Enjoy company-sponsored meals, social events, and opportunities to celebrate team accomplishments.
- Build experience in medical malpractice litigation without needing a medical malpractice background to get started.
- Work in an environment that offers case-by-case flexibility when personal or family needs arise.
Job DetailsThe Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling personal injury and medical malpractice matters. This is an opportunity for someone who understands the litigation process, knows how to anticipate deadlines, and can independently manage the details required to move cases toward trial.
You will work closely with attorneys and an established support team, taking responsibility for discovery, case organization, pretrial preparation, and the accuracy of litigation documents.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking initiative. We need someone who understands what needs to happen next in a case rather than waiting to be given every assignment.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Organize, maintain, and manage litigation case files, documentation, and case information.
- Prepare, organize, and respond to written discovery requests and responses.
- Monitor important case deadlines and help ensure compliance with applicable court procedures.
- Prepare and organize trial materials, including witness lists, exhibit lists, motions in limine, deposition materials, and other pretrial documentation.
- Collaborate with attorneys on case preparation, discovery strategy, and litigation readiness.
- Maintain accurate case information and documentation across electronic systems.
- Coordinate with junior paralegals and other team members to ensure cases progress efficiently.
- Participate in collaborative trial preparation, including preparation of trial binders and related materials.
- Review documents for accuracy, grammar, formatting, and consistency.
- Anticipate attorney and case needs, proactively identifying and addressing outstanding items.
What We're Looking For:
- At least 3 years of personal injury litigation experience.
- Strong understanding of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, including discovery procedures, applicable deadlines, objections, and deposition processes.
- Hands-on experience preparing matters for trial, including witness lists, exhibit lists, motions in limine, and deposition materials.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and work accurately under deadlines.
- Excellent written communication, document formatting, grammar, and proofreading skills.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Google Drive, and electronic case management tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to maintaining case records.
- Demonstrated initiative, professional judgment, and the ability to work independently.
- A stable professional background and interest in building a long-term career with the team.
- Professional communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with attorneys and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Approximately 3–5 years of relevant litigation experience, although candidates with more extensive experience are welcome.
- Medical malpractice litigation experience is a plus, not a requirement.
- Familiarity with medical malpractice litigation procedures, expert involvement, and applicable Texas statutory requirements is helpful.
- Experience working in a busy plaintiff-side litigation practice.
- Compensation & Work Environment
Base salary: $75,000–$90,000, depending on experience.
Full-time, fully onsite in Houston, Texas.
Flexibility for occasional appointments or family needs, considered individually.
Established litigation support structure with a dedicated junior paralegal and centralized scheduling assistance.
Collaborative work environment with accessible leadership and firm-sponsored team activities.
If you're an experienced personal injury litigation paralegal who enjoys trial preparation, takes pride in getting the details right, and wants to work with a team that values your contributions, we'd love to connect.
