Join us at the forefront of Amazon"s sustainability initiatives to work on advancing Amazon"s environmental and social sustainability strategy. At Amazon, we"re working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people.

The Sustainability organization utilizes Amazon"s scale and speed to build a more resilient and sustainable company - and planet. We manage our social and environmental impacts globally, and drive solutions that enable our customers, businesses, and the world to become more sustainable.

The Industry Relations team is seeking a Senior Lead, Analyst Relations (AR) to own the AR program for Amazon Sustainability, working cross-functionally with AWS, Devices, Operations, Retail, as well as Communications and Marketing teams. This lead will develop and maintain long-term relationships with key analysts - both traditional and independent technology analysts - to drive awareness of Amazon's value proposition and differentiation. This lead will have the opportunity to set proactive and reactive strategies for analyst report inclusion and public commentary, working closely with executives and subject matter experts to tailor content for briefings, inquiries, and events.

The ideal candidate possesses a track-record of building and executing successful AR programs - this includes the ability to quickly understand and translate technical topics, ability to navigate complex organizational structures, and ability to develop and maintain exceptional long-term relationships internally and externally. They must be comfortable balancing strategic thinking with tactical, detailed execution while working independently, sorting through ambiguously defined problems, and identifying challenges and opportunities for our customers.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the AR program for Amazon Sustainability
  • Drive awareness and expand global analysts' understanding of Amazon's value proposition and differentiation in the market
  • Develop and maintain positive long-term relationships with traditional analyst firms and independent technology analysts
  • Set proactive and reactive strategies for report inclusion (i.e. Gartner Magic Quadrant, IDC MarketScape) and public commentary (i.e. opinion editorials, social media)
  • Proactively identify and engage executives and subject matter experts to prepare tailored content and lead spokesperson training to ensure a consistent analyst narrative
  • Execute analyst programming for key events, briefings, inquiries, and advisory sessions
  • Deliver strategic plans and ensure visibility and progress of ongoing work is reported and communicated across teams
  • Define success metrics including report placement, engagement frequency, and sentiment trends

About the Company

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
