About This Opportunity

CTI Staffing is partnering with a leading consumer products organization to find a Senior Network Engineer for their infrastructure team based in Durham, NC (hybrid, 3 days onsite).

This team supports enterprise, data center, cloud, and manufacturing network environments across a large, complex organization. You'll be the senior technical voice on network design and security, working across Cisco infrastructure, Palo Alto security, SD-WAN, and multi-cloud connectivity, with exposure to industrial/OT networking supporting manufacturing operations.

What You'll Do

  • Provide L3 support across enterprise, data center, cloud, and manufacturing network environments
  • Design, deploy, and maintain Cisco routing and switching infrastructure using advanced protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS)
  • Administer Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls, Panorama, and GlobalProtect, including NAT and security policy management
  • Design and support SD-WAN solutions across enterprise and hybrid environments
  • Design and support cloud networking across Azure, AWS, and GCP
  • Support operational technology (OT) networks, including manufacturing and industrial systems
  • Perform root cause analysis and lead major incident resolution for network outages
  • Develop network automation using Terraform, Ansible, and infrastructure-as-code practices


Requirements

What You Bring

Must-Have:

  • 10+ years of enterprise network engineering experience
  • Deep hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, ASR)
  • Hands-on administration of Palo Alto Strata firewalls, Panorama, and GlobalProtect
  • SD-WAN deployment experience (Cisco Viptela or similar platform)
  • Multi-cloud networking experience across Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Strong background in BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS routing protocols
  • Network security and Zero Trust implementation experience
  • Exposure to OT/industrial networking (SCADA, PLC, or MES environments)

Nice-to-Have:

  • CCNP or PCNSE certification
  • Network automation experience with Terraform or Ansible
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring/security tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, Splunk)
  • VMware virtualization/storage project experience

Technical Environment:

  • Cisco routing and switching, Palo Alto Strata/Panorama, SD-WAN platforms
  • Azure, AWS, GCP networking
  • Terraform, Ansible, Python-based network automation

What Success Looks Like:

  • Owning network modernization initiatives across enterprise, cloud, and OT environments within the first 90 days
  • Leading root cause analysis on major network incidents with minimal escalation support
  • Contributing automation that reduces manual network operations tasks
