About the Role:Ensisinfo Inc is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Kafka Engineer Administrator to join our growing team in Denver, MT. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of data streaming technology, leveraging industry-leading platforms like Apache Kafka, Cloudera, and Confluent to drive impactful solutions.
Responsibilities:- Design, deploy, and manage Apache Kafka clusters in production environments
- Administer and optimize Confluent Platform and Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) environments
- Monitor Kafka broker performance, throughput, and latency to ensure high availability and reliability
- Develop and maintain Kafka topics, partitions, consumer groups, and replication configurations
- Collaborate with data engineering and application teams to integrate Kafka-based streaming pipelines
- Implement security best practices including Kafka ACLs, SSL/TLS, and Kerberos authentication
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Kafka infrastructure issues and performance bottlenecks
- Maintain documentation for architecture, configurations, and operational runbooks
Requirements:- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka administration and engineering
- Proficiency with Confluent Platform, including Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, and ksqlDB
- Experience administering Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) or Cloudera Distribution Hadoop (CDH)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, data streaming, and event-driven architectures
- Experience with Kafka security configurations including ACLs, SSL/TLS, and Kerberos
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems administration and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to perform well under pressure in production environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical teams
