Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer III to join our Compliance technology team and lead the transformation and implementation of critical feed processing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Spring, and Oracle, and a proven ability to design and deliver scalable, high-quality database and integration solutions in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive architecture, design, and implementation of key program initiatives within Compliance technology.
  • Collaborate with users and product owners to refine requirements and deliver scalable database and integration solutions.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain APIs and services using Spring Boot, SOAP, and REST.
  • Implement Oracle database solutions, including performance tuning, PL/SQL development, and data modeling.
  • Build and enhance real-time integrations using MQ or similar messaging technologies.
  • Establish CI/CD pipelines, automate build and deployment, and manage release and branching strategies with Git.
  • Apply architectural patterns and principles to ensure reusability, testability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Contribute as a hands-on architect and developer within an Agile Scrum team with practices such as pair programming and daily stand-ups.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of application development with Java and Spring Framework.
  • 10+ years of professional experience with Oracle databases, including query performance optimization and strong PL/SQL.
  • 6+ years of API development using Spring Boot, SOAP, and REST Web Services.
  • Experience with data warehousing and OLTP solutions and modeling tools and notation.
  • 6+ years of experience with job scheduling tools and Unix shell scripting in a Unix environment.
  • Real-time messaging experience with MQ or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with security vulnerabilities, SSO, and SAML-based authentication.
  • Experience with unit testing, testing methodologies, JIRA, and infrastructure support.
  • Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines and end-to-end automation for build and deployment.
  • Experience with release management, branching strategies, and distributed source control systems such as Git.
  • Demonstrable domain knowledge and strong problem-solving abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with domain-driven design and distributed systems.
  • Banking, Financial Services, or Compliance domain experience, including entity or transaction scanning.
  • Experience with Oracle 12c/19c.
  • Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
