Senior Java Software Engineer

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Senior Java Software Engineer for our premier client Plano, TX.
 

Education and Experience »

• 7+ years of professional Java development experience
• 5+ years of Spring / Spring Boot

 
Knowledge and Skills:

• RESTful APIs
• Hands-on Terraform experience
• SQL / relational databases
• Automated testing
• CI/CD
• Build and consume secure, reliable RESTful APIs and enterprise services
• Implement Kafka producers and consumers and develop event-driven microservices
• Contribute in Go and remain open to learning additional languages and frameworks
• Deploy, monitor, and operate cloud-native applications in AWS
• Debugging, logging, observability, and production support
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and secure deployment processes
• Implement observability, monitoring, and logging
• Troubleshoot and support production applications
• AWS experience
• Kafka / event-driven microservices.

 
Strongly Preferred:

• Java 11/17/21
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Kafka producer/consumer development

 
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java microservices and batch applications using Spring Boot
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement
• Participate in code reviews and improve software quality, performance, and security
• Mentor junior and less-experienced engineers
• Seeking an experienced Java developer with deep expertise in Java and the Spring ecosystem, hands-on cloud experience, and a strong foundation in modern distributed systems.
