REMOTEThe Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) / Oregon Health Authority (OHA) is seeking an experienced Senior Developer to support the continued development, enhancement, maintenance, and improvement of the eXPRS application.
eXPRS is a web-based system used to manage long-term care Medicaid services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
The Senior Developer will support Operations and Maintenance activities, application enhancements, defect remediation, refactoring, UI improvements, performance and maintenance requests, data and reporting requests, and knowledge transfer to existing team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and remediate application defects.
- Complete operational requests in the eXPRS Azure DevOps backlog.
- Complete application enhancement requests.
- Address application performance and maintenance requests.
- Complete application refactoring requests.
- Implement User Interface improvements.
- Complete data and reporting requests.
- Develop and deliver updates to the eXPRS application, including software code changes and documentation.
- Complete defect and change requests involving code modifications.
- Document completed enhancements and maintain system documentation.
- Work with system and business experts.
- Participate in daily Scrum meetings.
- Work with the ODHS Business Product Owner to understand mandatory functional business requirements and timelines.
- Document solution options, impacted system areas, dependencies, and system capability gaps.
- Work with the ODHS technical architect to understand technical standards and document technical designs.
- Work with the OIS technical manager and technical lead to review level of effort and timelines.
- Follow existing requirements management, design, development, issue tracking, and development standards.
- Use Azure DevOps (ADOS) and Agile Scrum processes.
- Participate in daily and weekly sprint planning and review meetings.
- Develop incremental functional prototypes.
- Demonstrate prototypes and document stakeholder feedback.
- Provide regular sprint status reporting.
- Provide knowledge transfer to existing team members to support ongoing maintenance of the application.
