Title: Senior Java Developer
Locations: Weehawken NJ. Hybrid - 3 days a week

Pay Range: $40-$45/Hour on W2/C2C (All inclusive)
Role Descriptions:
Key responsibilities: will be to Design| develop| enhance| and support Java applications and services for the Total Wealth Proposal Tool.
Build modular| maintainable Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs that support proposal workflows| integrations| and user-facing capabilities.
Develop and maintain Jaspersoft reports and templates| including data mapping| parameters| layouts| reusable components| and output validation.
Integrate Jaspersoft reporting capabilities with Java services| application data sources| and downstream systems to generate accurate and consistent proposal documents. Translate business| functional| and technical requirements into well-designed software solutions in partnership with product owners| analysts| architects| and engineering teams. Design and implement persistence and data-access components using relational databases and SQL| with appropriate transaction management and performance considerations. Create and maintain unit| integration| component| and regression tests using modern Java testing frameworks and automated quality controls.
Participate in code reviews| troubleshooting| production support| root-cause analysis| and application performance and reliability improvements.
Integrate builds and automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support deployment| configuration| monitoring| and operational readiness across environments.
Follow secure software-development practices| engineering standards| documentation requirements| and change-management controls.
Your expertise Java| Spring Boot| microservices & reporting Strong hands-on experience with Java| object-oriented design| collections| exception handling| concurrency| and common enterprise design patterns.
Experience building Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs| including dependency injection| configuration| validation| exception handling| and service integration.
Hands-on experience with Jaspersoft| JasperReports| or Jaspersoft Studio| including report design| templates| parameters| subreports| data sources| and PDF or document output.
Experience integrating reporting solutions into Java and Spring Boot applications and diagnosing report-generation| formatting| data| and performance issues.
Experience with SQL and relational databases| including schema understanding| query development| transaction management| and data-access performance considerations. Experience with automated testing using JUnit| Mockito| or comparable frameworks| with a focus on maintainable code and regression prevention.
Experience with Git| Maven or Gradle| CI/CD pipelines| application logging| monitoring| troubleshooting| and production support.
Understanding of secure API development| authentication and authorization concepts| data protection| and secure coding practices.
Collaboration & delivery Experience working in Agile delivery models and contributing to refinement| planning| demonstrations| retrospectives| defect triage
Test Automation: Strong experience designing and developing automated testing frameworks.
API & Microservices Testing: Hands-on testing of REST APIs and Spring Boot microservices.
Functional & E2E Testing: Experience with functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automation.
Jaspersoft Testing: Experience validating reports and document-generation workflows.
CI/CD Integration: Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Quality Engineering: Experience with defect analysis, test metrics, quality gates, and release validation.
