Job Summary:We are seeking a highly experienced
Senior Java Developer with 10+ years of hands-on development experience and strong expertise in
Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and relational databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
retail environments and experience designing scalable, high-performance backend applications. This role will also contribute to architecture, technical best practices, code reviews, mentoring, production support, and CI/CD improvements.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Architect and implement microservices-based solutions and contribute to system architecture and technical roadmap decisions.
- Design and optimize database schemas, SQL queries, stored procedures, indexing, and overall database performance.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate backend services with cross-functional applications and platforms.
- Perform code reviews, mentor junior and mid-level developers, and promote clean code, design patterns, SOLID principles, and engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and contribute to CI/CD, DevOps, security, scalability, and reliability improvements.
Must-Have Skills:- 10+ years of professional Java development experience with strong hands-on expertise.
- Expert-level Spring Boot / Spring Framework experience, including Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
- Proven experience designing and developing microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
- Strong experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, including schema design and query optimization.
- Retail industry experience with strong enterprise application development experience.
Nice-to-Have Skills:- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, or Cassandra.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging/event-driven technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Experience with application monitoring and performance tools such as New Relic, Datadog, or Splunk.
Preferred Qualifications:- Strong experience with Hibernate/JPA, Maven/Gradle, Git, JUnit, and Mockito, including TDD practices.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and cloud-native application development.
- Prior technical leadership, mentoring, architecture, or design ownership experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
