    We are hiring for a Senior Java Developer (IES Experience) opportunity.

    Role: Senior Java Developer

    Location: Mechanicsburg, PA

    Position: 55

    Role Overview:

    We are seeking experienced Senior Java Developers to support the development and enhancement of enterprise web applications for a large-scale Integrated Eligibility System (IES) project. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java and J2EE development, object-oriented design, relational databases, and enterprise application development. This role requires hands-on coding, complex SQL development, root cause analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in an enterprise environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise Java web applications
    • Write efficient, complex SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis
    • Perform root cause analysis and resolve application defects and production issues
    • Design and implement scalable application components following object-oriented design principles
    • Develop batch processing jobs and web services to support business operations
    • Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams, and fellow developers throughout the software development lifecycle
    • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
    • Support application deployment, maintenance, and performance optimization
    • Create technical documentation and provide implementation support when required

    Required Skills:

    • 3+ years of experience in Java 6.0 and J2EE application development
    • Strong experience with JSP, Custom Tag Libraries, JavaScript, Session EJBs, and JDBC
    • Experience using Java IDEs such as IBM Rational Application Developer (RAD) 7.5 or later
    • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD)
    • Experience implementing Singleton, Factory, and DAO design patterns
    • Solid understanding of MVC architecture
    • Experience developing batch jobs and web services
    • Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.0
    • Strong experience writing SQL queries using DB2 and Oracle databases
    • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience working on Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES) projects
    • Experience with WebSphere Application Server running on SUSE Linux 11 in VMware environments
    • Experience supporting large-scale government or public sector applications
    • Familiarity with enterprise application performance tuning and optimization
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
    • Experience working in Agile development environments

    Education Requirement:

    Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
