Senior Java Developer (Hybrid)

We're hiring a Senior Java Developer to join our team in Columbia, SC. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with onsite work required Tuesday through Thursday.

Work Authorization: U.S. citizens and Green Card holders only. Sponsorship is not available for this role; no C2C or third-party candidates. Candidates must be able to work on our W2.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 8 years of application development, systems testing, or other job-related experience
• Experience with:
  • Java development using Eclipse
  • Oracle DB 
  • Hibernate 3.0
  • Spring Framework 3.x/5.x/6.x
  • Jenkins and GitHub
  • Agile Scrum

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for analysis, design, programming, and implementation of complex applications tasks and projects
• Devise feasible, logical procedures to resolve business problems through the use of computer resources
• Formulate scope and objectives through research to develop or modify complex systems
• Provide technical direction and support in the development and support of business systems software and procedures
• Design, code, test, and debug the most complex application programs
• Responsible for Java development and Oracle DB updates for the EMS application

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree; OR
• Degree Equivalency: 4 years of job-related work experience or 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree

The hourly rate for this position is $69.24.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled Java developer with extensive experience in Oracle DB, Hibernate, and the Spring Framework. They will have a proven track record in complex application development and be adept at working in an Agile Scrum environment. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder, able to work on a W-2, and possess the ability to obtain a low-level U.S. security clearance.
