Senior Java Developer

• Job: Senior Java Developer
• Location: On-site 3 days per week in Columbia, SC
• Job type: 1-year contract, open to extensions and converting to permanent 
• Job Description:

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, program, and implement the most complex application tasks and projects in the area
• Devise feasible, logical procedures to solve business problems using computer resources
• Formulate scope and objectives through research to develop or modify complex systems
• Provide technical direction and support for business systems software and procedures
• Design, code, test, and debug the most complex application programs
• Handle Java development and Oracle DB updates for the EMS application
• Maintain and support the MRTS, IRR, and POETs applications

• Minimum 8 years of application development, systems testing, or other job-related experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Degree equivalency options:
  • 4 years of job-related work experience, or
  • 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Java development using Eclipse
• Oracle DB
• Hibernate 3.0+
• Spring Framework 3.x, 5.x, 6.x
• Jenkins and GitHub
• Agile Scrum
