Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Senior Java Backend Engineer with deep expertise in distributed systems and real-time streaming technologies. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives in designing, building, and operating scalable, high-performance systems across hybrid environments. The candidate will play a critical role in developing cloud-native solutions leveraging GCP, Kubernetes, and modern data streaming frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java for large-scale distributed systems.
• Build and optimize real-time and batch data streaming pipelines using technologies such as Dataflow, Kafka, Flink, or similar frameworks.
• Architect and implement scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems ensuring high availability and performance.
• Develop and manage cloud-native applications using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
• Work across hybrid environments (on-premise + cloud) ensuring seamless integration and data flow.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, data engineering, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and continuously improve system reliability and efficiency.
• Drive best practices in system design, code quality, testing, and performance optimization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software development, system design, and architecture.
• Strong proficiency in Java backend development.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with streaming technologies such as Dataflow, Kafka, Flink, or equivalent.
• Proven experience building and managing streaming data pipelines in both cloud and on-prem environments.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
• Hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native services.
• Experience working in hybrid infrastructure environments (on-prem + cloud).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, scalable environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with infrastructure automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and observability practices.
• Prior experience working in high-scale data platforms or real-time analytics systems.
