Senior Java Backend Engineer

As a Senior Java Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and microservices. The ideal candidate will have strong Java expertise and experience working within cloud-enabled enterprise environments.

Our client, an IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Senior Java Backend Engineer for their Plano, TX location.
 
Responsibilities:

• As a Senior Java Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and microservices. The ideal candidate will have strong Java expertise and experience working within cloud-enabled enterprise environments.
• Design and develop backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise solutions.
• Perform code reviews, testing, and production support.
• Improve application performance, security, and scalability.
• Participate in Agile development activities.

 
Requirements:

• 11-13 years of IT experience.
• AWS Certification (Developer or Associate) required.
• Strong Java J2EE and Spring Boot experience.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and Docker.
• Knowledge of relational databases and Hibernate.
• Familiarity with AWS services and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
