Senior Java Backend Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to design, develop, enhance, and support real-time Java applications for a high-performance enterprise platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Core Java, J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, JMS, Kafka, multithreading, Oracle, PL/SQL, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting. This is a 12-month remote contract opportunity for a highly experienced Java professional with strong application development and production support experience.

• Design and develop real-time Java applications.
• Design and develop asynchronous, message-based applications.
• Integrate applications with third-party feed providers for accessing real-time data.
• Develop applications meeting high availability, scalability, security, auditing, and other non-functional requirements.
• Participate in coding, testing, debugging, and documentation activities.
• Respond to critical production issues and provide immediate workarounds to maintain business continuity.
• Work on new initiatives while supporting existing applications.
• Perform application and system performance tuning and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Apply object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns.
• Integrate in-house applications with various vendor software platforms.
• Perform unit testing and resolve application defects.
• Interface with databases to extract information and build reports.
• Collaborate effectively with customers, business users, and IT teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues, performance bottlenecks, and application errors.
