Description


The Panther Group is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager for a long-term contract opportunity with a prestigious university in Boston. This hybrid position requires working onsite three days per week and offers the opportunity to lead large-scale, enterprise-wide technology initiatives that support critical business and academic operations.

Not open to C2C or third party agencies.  No Visa sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple complex enterprise IT projects from planning through successful implementation.
  • Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, and resource plans.
  • Partner with business leaders, technical teams, and executive stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Monitor project risks, issues, dependencies, and financial performance while driving proactive solutions.
  • Prepare and present project status updates, metrics, and executive-level communications.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Support organizational change management, user readiness, and post-implementation stabilization.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic business objectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of IT Project Management experience leading large, enterprise-level initiatives.
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional technology projects in matrixed organizations.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, including executive-level communication.
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional project teams.
  • Experience with project financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Experience delivering enterprise technology initiatives such as:
    • ERP implementations
    • CRM platforms
    • Cloud migrations
    • Infrastructure projects
    • Data integration initiatives
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or ServiceNow.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • PMP, Agile, or other project management certifications are a plus.
Pay is $83.92-$97.90 per hour DOE
