We are actively recruiting for a full-time Senior IT Systems & Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. This position will be full time on site in our Northern New Jersey office.
Responsibilities:- Lead the day-to-day administration, operation, performance, security, and lifecycle management of local and remote IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, networks, firewalls, switches, wireless systems, telecommunications, and connected devices.
- Administer and support Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, email, file/print services, databases, document management systems, backups, and related enterprise applications.
- Design, implement, maintain, and optimize secure, reliable, scalable IT infrastructure aligned with organizational objectives and business requirements.
- Provide advanced technical support and serve as a senior escalation point for complex hardware, software, systems, and network issues, including troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and root-cause analysis.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, security groups, access rights, and system memberships in accordance with security, access-control, and least-privilege requirements.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, including firewalls, endpoint protection, encryption, vulnerability management, monitoring, access controls, security testing, and incident response.
- Monitor enterprise systems and networks for threats, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized activity; investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents and other critical technology events.
- Manage network infrastructure, including switching, routing, VLANs, wireless technologies, firewalls, and core network services.
- Plan and implement system upgrades, patches, infrastructure projects, technology enhancements, and new solutions in accordance with change-management and security procedures.
- Maintain and test backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response processes; participate in the resolution of outages, emergencies, and other operational disruptions.
- Research emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, and industry best practices and recommend modernization, risk mitigation, and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventories, system documentation, network diagrams, configurations, licenses, warranties, and lifecycle records.
- Establish and maintain IT standards, procedures, and best practices that promote secure, reliable, efficient, and compliant operations.
- Ensure IT operations comply with organizational policies, licensing requirements, security standards, industry best practices, and applicable regulations.
- Support employee onboarding, technology training, and security awareness initiatives; mentor junior IT staff and provide technical guidance as a senior technical resource.
- Provide regular and on-call technical support and perform other IT responsibilities necessary to support organizational objectives and business continuity.
Required Skills and Experience- Demonstrated experience administering enterprise IT environments, including Windows workstations and servers, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, email/Exchange, enterprise applications, file/print services, remote access, and end-user systems.
- Strong knowledge of networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS, SFTP, LDAP, ARP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
- Hands-on experience managing network infrastructure, firewalls, wireless systems, endpoint security, encryption, access controls, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and incident response.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, security controls, risk mitigation, and industry best practices.
- Experience with backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, system recovery, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Advanced troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues in both routine and high-pressure situations.
- Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and implement practical, secure, scalable solutions aligned with organizational and business needs.
- Excellent communication, documentation, organizational, and project-management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Highly computer literate, detail-oriented, proactive, adaptable, and capable of prioritizing competing demands while maintaining service reliability and security.
Preferred Skills and Experience- Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft, Cisco, or equivalent credentials.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
The salary range for this position is $90,000–$110,000 annually, depending on education, qualifications, and relevant experience. The position offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and paid time off (PTO).
