Senior IT Project Manager

The Senior IT Project Manager will provide project management support across approximately five active workstreams , helping establish consistent project processes, coordinate cross-functional activities, and maintain visibility into key deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and risks . The position operates within a hybrid project delivery model , combining Agile project-management activities with traditional project-management practices associated with technology deployment and plant implementations.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to support our client, a large organization operating within the agricultural, food production, and industrial manufacturing sectors.

This role will support a major plant technology program focused on upgrading technology hardware across multiple locations/sites.

The Senior IT Project Manager will provide project management support across approximately five active workstreams, helping establish consistent project processes, coordinate cross-functional activities, and maintain visibility into key deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and risks.

The position operates within a hybrid project delivery model, combining Agile project-management activities with traditional project-management practices associated with technology deployment and plant implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple IT projects/workstreams supporting the plant technology modernization initiatives.
• Manage projects from planning and architecture through deployment and implementation.
• Coordinate approximately five concurrent workstreams.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with IT, infrastructure, network, cybersecurity, architecture, plant operations, and business teams.
• Support pre-deployment architecture and planning activities.
• Coordinate site readiness and technology deployment activities.
• Manage hardware refresh, installation, configuration, and deployment activities.
• Track project risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, and decisions.
• Facilitate project meetings, status meetings, Agile ceremonies, and stakeholder reviews.
• Provide regular project status reports to leadership.
• Coordinate internal technical teams, plant personnel, vendors, and third-party partners.
• Ensure project activities remain aligned with established IT governance and change-management processes.
• Identify potential schedule or deployment issues and coordinate mitigation plans.
• Maintain project documentation, RAID logs, action items, schedules, and status reports.
• Coordinate activities across multiple plant locations and workstreams.
• Support transition of completed technology deployments into operational support.
• Conduct lessons-learned and project-closeout activities.

Required Experience

• 7+ years of IT Project Management experience.
• Experience managing large-scale IT infrastructure or technology deployment projects.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams.
• Experience with hardware refresh, infrastructure modernization, or technology deployment.
• Experience with Agile and/or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Strong experience with project schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Experience working with vendors and third-party technology providers.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Wayzata, MN, 2 3 days per week.
