DPP is seeking a
Senior IT Project Manager for an opportunity with our client in the health insurance industry.
Work Location: Hybrid in Columbia, SC; onsite Tues, Wed, Thurs and as needed
Duration: 12 months
Terms: W2 Contract
Responsibilities: - Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts.
- Responsible for multiple work efforts of any size, from minimum complexity system/customer impacts to greater complexity system/customer impacts.
- Adheres to project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budgeted hours, adheres to high-quality standards, and meets ISSM expectations.
- Monitors project plans, assignments and work efforts on a daily basis.
- Ensure resource needs are assigned appropriately and escalate functional, quality, timeline issues.
- Tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans to meet the needs of work effort.
- Responsible for leading the project from inception to final business acceptance and implementation.
- Mentors other project leads and participates in the training and development of staff.
Required Qualifications: - 5 years’ IT experience in a leadership capacity, including 2 years’ experience leading two or more concurrent project teams.
- Completion of the Training Program for Project Management may substitute for one year of experience.
- Bachelor's Degree;
- OR 4 years of job-related work experience;
- OR 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate’s degree in any major.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Project Management Software (such as MS Project, Azure Dev Ops or similar).
Preferred Qualifications: - MS Project, Azure Dev Ops specifically are preferred of all project management software.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- PMP Certification.
