Senior IT Project Manager

We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager for a full-time position based in Arlington, Virginia. In this role, you will lead the acquisition, implementation, and development of software components, hardware, and computer application systems. You will manage project scope, design, development, and implementation while ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and with high quality. You will also conduct feasibility studies, select solutions, and design business-driven technology applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage project(s) for the acquisition, implementation, or development of software components, hardware, or computer application systems
• Manage vendors and contractors to ensure they deliver contracted value and services
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with high quality
• Plan team resource needs and work closely with other managers to set clear expectations and roles for project team members
• Participate in process and technology re-engineering initiatives
• Complete feasibility studies and select solutions aligned with business objectives
• Manage project finances, budgets, and control of project costs

Qualifications

• Required

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or management information systems

• 10+ years of experience in project management implementing technology solutions at an energy facility or related industry

• Strong blend of experience managing both software and infrastructure projects

• Proven experience leading large-scale, enterprise-wide initiatives

• PMP certification

• Successful track record developing and implementing new technology

• Demonstrated competency in project management and execution of larger projects

• Demonstrated successful development and implementation of new work processes or process improvements

• Strong technical skills directing technical professionals

• Demonstrated skills in conceptualizing solutions, documenting them, and presenting them to senior management

• Ability to develop and deliver projects using leading-edge technology where appropriate
