Senior IOS Engineer

Remote Senior iOS Engineer opportunity with a growing technology organization in Greenville, SC. This role is ideal for a native iOS developer with 7+ years of experience. In this role you’ll own architecture, UI, and networking for an industry leading native iOS app built to support the logistics industry, with a focus on GIS/navigation. We're looking for a product-minded engineer who takes ownership, challenges assumptions, and values rigorous automated testing over quick fixes.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of professional native iOS development including ownership of substantial features or systems
• Strong Swift and Objective-C; deep UIKit and SwiftUI experience
• Experience with Core Data/SQLite and building resilient networking that handles poor connectivity and seamless resync
• Experience writing automated and UI automation tests
• Skilled with Xcode Instruments for diagnosing performance, memory, and UI issues
• Able to diagnose nondeterministic async/networking failures and simulator-vs-device differences
• Comfortable using crash reporting, logging, and CI output to troubleshoot
• Strong written communication; able to work core hours in Eastern, Central, or Mountain time
• GIS/mapping experience a plus, not required

Responsibilities:

• Write, review, and ship production Swift (and Objective-C) code across the app's UI, networking, and data layers
• Own architecture, UI, and infrastructure across a native iOS application
• Build and maintain offline-first networking and sync systems for unreliable connectivity
• Develop GIS and navigation features, including routing and mapping
• Partner with product, Android, and backend teams to shape technical and UX solutions
• Surface edge cases and recommend simpler, higher-value approaches
• Expand automated test coverage, including UI automation
• Use Instruments to proactively resolve performance and memory issues
