    Our client, located in the Greenway Plaza area, is a highly respected private investment organization, is seeking a Senior Investment Accountant to join its growing finance team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a sophisticated investment environment supporting a diversified portfolio while partnering closely with finance and investment professionals.

    This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys investment accounting, financial reporting, reconciliation, and process improvement within a collaborative and high-performing organization.  

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform accounting and reconciliation activities for a diversified investment portfolio.

    • Prepare recurring financial and investment reporting for senior leadership.

    • Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

    • Research and resolve complex investment transactions and accounting issues.

    • Analyze investment activity, cash flows, and account variances.

    • Assist with forecasting and cash planning activities.

    • Support annual financial statement audits and related documentation.

    • Assist with budgeting and financial analysis.

    • Partner with internal stakeholders to improve reporting processes and operational efficiencies.

    • Support special projects and other finance initiatives as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

    • CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.

    • 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within investments, financial services, public accounting, or a corporate finance environment.

    • Experience with investment accounting is preferred.

    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with ERP or financial reporting systems.

    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

    • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
