About the Role
This role is a key contributor to the international tax strategy, compliance, and documentation efforts of our client. The position supports cross-border tax analyses, U.S. informational reporting, and related planning, ensuring accuracy, risk identification, and process efficiency. By working in this role, you will help optimize tax reporting processes and contribute to business development and tax planning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review U.S. informational tax returns and supporting workpapers (Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 1118, and related schedules).
- Analyze entity structures and elections; prepare and file related documentation.
- Handle monthly and annual U.S. withholding tax compliance, remittances, and returns.
- Support optimization of quarterly and annual financial and tax reporting processes for U.S. cross-border matters.
- Perform tax research on U.S. cross-border and foreign activities; identify, evaluate, and document tax risks and positions.
- Coordinate with foreign advisors and contribute documentation for business development and tax planning initiatives.
- Respond to information requests from external tax advisors and auditors.
- Prepare or review journal entries, reconciliations, and workpapers supporting intercompany and tax accounting matters.
- Monitor tax law developments and assess their impact on the organization.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of tax experience in public accounting or a multinational corporate environment.
- Direct international tax experience.
- Strong analytical, workpaper, and mathematical skills.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, MST, or CPA.
- Experience with CSC CorpTax or comparable tax compliance software.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing facts and environments.
- Strong critical-thinking and reasoned decision-making skills.
