Senior Interior Designer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic ASID Certified Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong design portfolio, a minimum of 5 years of professional industry experience, and outstanding interpersonal skills. In this role, you will lead projects from concept to completion, build lasting client relationships, and collaborate seamlessly with our internal design, sales, and support staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Project Management: Lead all phases of interior design projects, including space planning, material and finish selection, furniture specification, lighting design, and construction documentation.
• Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients. Present design concepts, actively listen to client needs, translate their vision into tangible designs, and manage client expectations with professionalism and diplomacy.
• Interoffice Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, CAD drafters, junior designers, contractors, and administrative teams to ensure smooth project execution, clear communication, and a cohesive work environment.
• Vendor & Contractor Relations: Coordinate with suppliers, tradespeople, and contractors to ensure quality execution, budget adherence, and timely delivery.
• Mentorship & Team Building: Positive engagement with interoffice staff, contributing to a supportive, creative, and productive company culture.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certification: Active ASID Certification (American Society of Interior Designers) is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional interior design experience (residential or commercial).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• People & Communication Skills:
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of building strong rapport and trust with high-value clients.
  • Strong team player with excellent interoffice relationship-building abilities.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or related interior design and drafting software.
• Portfolio: A comprehensive portfolio demonstrating strong creative talent, technical drawing ability, and successful past projects.
