An award-winning residential interior design firm in Dallas is seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead high-end residential projects from concept through installation.
This role is intended for a confident design professional with strong client-facing skills, and demonstrated success leading complex residential projects. The Senior Interior Designer is responsible for delivering thoughtful, highly resolved interiors on time and within established budgets while protecting the firm’s design standards and overall creative direction.
The ideal candidate combines strong design authorship with disciplined project leadership. This person must be able to guide clients, direct junior team members, coordinate with consultants and vendors, and maintain control of the many decisions and details required to deliver a successful luxury residential project.
·Participate in and often lead the conceptual design phase to establish the overall aesthetic direction for assigned projects.
·Develop cohesive interiors with strong attention to atmosphere, proportion, color, materiality, craftsmanship, and architectural character.
·Participate in and often lead all major areas of the design process, including concept development, space planning, finish selection, furniture selection, lighting, textiles, decorative details, and styling.
·Plan and facilitate client meetings, including project kickoffs, design presentations, and installation planning.
·Serve as the single day-to-day owner of each assigned project and remain accountable for its progress.
·Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining control of design quality, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
·Direct junior designers on the project.
·Review the accuracy and completeness of design presentations, specifications, schedules, and other project documentation.
·Coordinate closely with architects, contractors, consultants, fabricators, vendors, artists, and craftspeople.
·Conduct site visits and attend project meetings as required to support design coordination, quality assurance, and project progress.
·Review field conditions and help resolve design and coordination issues during construction.
·Maintain a strong working knowledge of construction methods, materials, detailing, and installation requirements.
·Coordinate with and support procurement and operations staff to ensure materials, and furnishings are ready for installation.
·Participate actively in installations and final project styling as required.
·Six or more years of professional interior design experience.
·Demonstrated success serving as the lead designer on multiple high-end residential projects.
·An accredited professional degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
·Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
·Strong knowledge of design principles, space planning, furnishings, finishes, lighting, textiles, and decorative arts.
·Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, detailing, and building systems.
·Strong organizational and project-management abilities.
·Ability to manage several projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
·Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
·Reliable transportation, and the ability to travelas needed.
·Proficiency in InDesign and Canva.
·Proficiency in Design Manager or comparable software.
·Experience with SketchUp, Revit, three-dimensional modeling, or rendering software.
·Experience with Microsoft Teams or comparable collaboration platforms.
·Experience leading furnishings procurement, installation planning, and final styling.
·Familiarity with luxury furniture, antiques, decorative arts, custom fabrication, and specialty vendors.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Dallas, Texas. The position requires a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week, with occasional additional hours, travel out of state site visits, and installation support as project needs require.
