Senior Integration Engineer - Cloud Native

About the Role

Tintri is expanding its cloud-native storage footprint and needs a Senior Integration Engineer to own CSI driver development for Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift, alongside OpenStack Cinder volume driver development and certification - including the managed Kubernetes experience delivered through Platform9. You will work at the boundary of storage engineering and cloud-native infrastructure, building integrations that enable platform teams to consume Tintri VMstore capabilities through industry-standard APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Tintri CSI driver (CSI spec v1.x), covering dynamic provisioning, snapshots, cloning, volume expansion, and topology awareness
• Validate and certify the CSI driver against the Kubernetes Conformance test suite and Red Hat OpenShift Operator certification programme
• Support Helm chart and Operator lifecycle manager (OLM) packaging for enterprise Kubernetes distributions
• Develop and maintain the Tintri Cinder volume driver, targeting current OpenStack LTS releases and Platform9 managed distributions
• Manage upstream contribution process for the Cinder driver, including Gerrit review cycles and CI gate compliance
• Work with Platform9 alliance contacts to validate driver behaviour under their Managed OpenStack and Managed Kubernetes products
• Build and maintain automated integration test pipelines (GitHub Actions / Jenkins) against live VMstore targets

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in cloud-native infrastructure
• Hands-on CSI driver development experience in Go; familiarity with the full CSI gRPC interface
• Experience with Kubernetes internals: storage classes, persistent volumes, volume snapshots, StatefulSets
• Proficiency in Python for OpenStack driver development, testing, and tooling
• Practical OpenStack experience including Cinder volume driver development or deep operational use
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift and the OCP certification / OperatorHub submission process
• Strong understanding of container orchestration, pod scheduling, and multi-tenancy storage concerns

Preferred Qualifications

• Upstream OpenStack contributor (Cinder, Cinder client, or related projects)
• Experience with Platform9 Managed Kubernetes or Managed OpenStack
• CNCF Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or CKAD
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration
• Familiarity with VMware vSphere / Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) for cross-team context
