    Position Description
We are seeking an Integration Analyst to support a large scale TIBCO decommissioning and modernization initiative for a healthcare payer client. The successful candidate will act as the critical link between the client's TIBCO engineering team, data team, and business stakeholders - analyzing existing TIBCO BusinessWorks (BW) workflows across claims, UM/CM, enrollment, and reference data systems, and determining the correct target state design (Java/Spring Boot API microservice, batch/ELT job, or other pattern) for each process as part of the migration off TIBCO.

This role requires strong independent judgment, deep payer domain knowledge, and the ability to operate in ambiguous, undocumented legacy environments.

    Your future duties and responsibilities:
    • Inventory the full population of existing TIBCO BusinessWorks (BW) processes across the claims engine, UM/CM, enrollment, and OPDB adjacent systems, cataloging each by function, trigger type, frequency, and system touchpoints
    • Read and interpret existing BW process definitions directly with the TIBCO engineering team to understand current implementation logic, error handling, and integration points
    • Trace end to end data flow for each workflow source systems, transformation logic, target systems, and downstream consumers
    • Identify undocumented dependencies, hidden business rules embedded in code, and tribal knowledge logic that only exists in the heads of current TIBCO engineers
    Business Requirements & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Plan and lead structured discovery sessions with business SMEs to uncover the actual business requirement each workflow was built to satisfy independent of how it happens to be implemented today
    • Ask targeted, probing questions to separate genuine business need from historical technical convenience or outdated assumptions
    • Facilitate working sessions that bring together TIBCO engineers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to resolve conflicting or incomplete information about a given process
    • Manage stakeholder expectations around timelines, findings, and trade offs as discovery uncovers gaps or surprises
    Gap & Pattern Analysis
    • Evaluate each workflow against ideal architectural fit, flagging cases where a real time BW orchestration is being used for what should be a scheduled batch/ELT job (or vice versa)
    • Assess workflows for redundancy, dead logic, or processes that may no longer serve an active business need and could be retired rather than migrated
    • Identify data quality issues, inconsistent business rules across similar workflows, and integration fragility that could pose risk during migration
    Solution Design & Documentation
    • Produce clear current state process documentation (process flows, data flow diagrams, triggers, dependencies, downstream impacts) suitable for both business and engineering audiences
    • Define and document the recommended target state pattern for each workflow Java/Spring Boot API microservice, batch/ELT job, event driven service, or other with rationale
    • Author migration ready functional specifications and solution designs that the engineering/build team can execute against without needing to re Client requirements
    • Maintain a living traceability record linking each legacy TIBCO process to its target state design and migration status
    Data & Technical Coordination
    • Partner closely with the data team to validate data lineage, confirm integration assumptions, and align on data model impacts for target state designs
    • Coordinate with engineering leads to ensure proposed target state patterns are technically feasible within the Java/Spring Boot microservices architecture
    • Support environment and integration testing planning by clarifying expected business behavior for migrated workflows
    Program & Delivery Support
    • Contribute to prioritization and sequencing of the 1,000+ process migration backlog based on business criticality, complexity, and risk
    • Provide regular status updates and findings summaries to project leadership, surfacing risks and blockers early
    • Support change management and business sign off activities as workflows move from design to build
    • Mentor or provide direction to junior analysts supporting the discovery effort, where applicable
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Business Analysis or Solution Architecture roles
    • Prior experience in healthcare payer environments (claims, UM/CM, enrollment)
    • Working knowledge of TIBCO BusinessWorks or equivalent ESB/middleware platforms
    • Demonstrated ability to distinguish real time vs. batch processing use cases
    • Working knowledge of Java/Spring Boot microservices architecture (functional understanding, not necessarily hands on coding)
    • Strong facilitation and stakeholder interview skills
    • Strong documentation skills (process flows, functional specs, data flow diagrams)
    • Strong understanding of FHIR standards, HL7, EDI transactions, and healthcare information exchange models.
