Senior Instrumentation Engineer - REMOTE

Provide instrumentation and controls engineering services, including technical support and supervision within the instrumentation and controls engineering team.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver instrumentation and controls engineering services that meet applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
• Initiate, manage, and, if required, supervise instrumentation and controls engineering project requirements.
• Perform instrumentation and controls engineering services, such as:
  • Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow required checking procedures.
  • Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes.
  • Provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, such as writing requisitions, conducting technical bid evaluations, and writing purchase orders.
• Complete additional responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.
• If required, function as the instrumentation and controls engineering lead on specific projects.
• If responsible for a team:
  • Outline project requirements, actively promote workshare where appropriate, assign tasks, and supervise progress.
  • Ensure the required services meet company, customer, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget.
• Proactively resolve any discrepancies between company and customer requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in the instrumentation and controls engineering field.
• Assist and support junior personnel within the instrumentation and controls engineering team.
• Communicate effectively with the instrumentation and controls engineering team and project stakeholders, including customers.
• Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and seek assistance when required.
• May serve as a technical consultant within the area of expertise and make formal presentations to customers or company management.

What You Will Bring:

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:

• Relevant discipline experience.
• Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate, and timely work.
• A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of instrumentation and controls engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
• A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Competent use of instrumentation and controls engineering-specific software.
• Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
• Substantial technical and practical experience in instrumentation and controls engineering in the same or similar industry, including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

• BS or MS in a related field or applicable discipline, typically an engineering degree; or equivalent experience if allowed by law.
