Senior Instrumentation Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Instrumentation Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in Reading, PA. This position will provide instrumentation and controls engineering services, technical support, and project leadership while ensuring engineering deliverables meet project requirements, industry standards, schedules, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute instrumentation and controls engineering activities for industrial projects.

• Develop and review engineering documentation, technical specifications, and project deliverables.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, and project stakeholders.

• Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.

• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and engineering change requirements.

• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Identify and resolve technical issues while maintaining project quality.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.

• Serve as the lead instrumentation and controls engineer on assigned projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.

• Extensive experience in instrumentation and controls engineering within industrial or related environments.

• Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, control systems, engineering standards, and design practices.

• Experience working on multidisciplinary engineering projects.

• Proficiency with instrumentation and controls engineering software and Microsoft Office.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.

• Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
