Job Title: Senior Information Risk Consultant - Information Security
Location: Dallas, TX or Tampa, FL
Experience Level: Mid-Senior (7+ years)
Job Type: Contract (No relocation assistance or visa sponsorship)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments of applications, infrastructure, and vendors using established methodologies.
- Identify and document control gaps and provide actionable remediation recommendations.
- Partner with business and technology teams to articulate risks in a clear, understandable manner.
- Evaluate and ensure remediation plans effectively address identified risks.
- Document risks in the companys risk register and assist with policy exceptions and risk acceptance processes.
- Drive process improvements in the risk assessment program.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- 5-7 years of experience in risk assessment (application, infrastructure, or vendor risk management).
- Strong knowledge of technical infrastructure, networks, databases, and cybersecurity risks.
- Proficiency in information risk management frameworks and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI for data analysis and presentations.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in the Financial Services industry.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC.
- Bachelors degree in a related field.
