The Opportunity | Te heinga

We're looking for a Senior Information Management Advisor to help drive a significant programme of Information Management improvement across Council.

This role combines governance, compliance, records management, Microsoft 365, SharePoint and project delivery. You'll work across the organisation to improve Information Management practices, support major transformation initiatives and help deliver recommendations arising from our recent independent Information Management review.

This is an opportunity to influence how information is managed across Council and play a key role in improving organisational maturity.

Key Responsibilities | Ng haepapa matua

  • Provide senior advice on Information Management and governance practices.
  • Lead complex records, archives, retention and disposal activities.
  • Support compliance monitoring, audits and assurance activities.
  • Improve Information Management across Microsoft 365, SharePoint and TechOne ECM.
  • Support ERP and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Develop policies, procedures and guidance that improve organisational maturity.
  • Mentor and support other Information Management team members.

Essential Skills and Experience | Ng pkenga me ng wheako

We are looking for a practical and experienced Information Management professional who enjoys solving problems and driving improvement.

You will bring:

  • Experience in Information Management, Records Management or Information Governance.
  • Knowledge of records, archives, retention and disposal requirements.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint and information management systems.
  • Strong analytical, advisory and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to interpret legislative requirements and apply them in practical ways.
