Position: Senior Implementation Specialist
Location: Springfield, OH ( Fully Onsite 5 days a week)

Note: Residents must be onsite 5 days per week. No exceptions
PE XE Resident Program // Typically 48 weeks duration –
Limited XE experience – looking for candidates w/ strong server and linux experience then leverage training to transfer and upskill
Dedicated full time – 40 hours per week for a set time embedded with customer – day 2 activities and support – bring them in to observe day 1 and move into day 2 – no deployment, not break-fix – help operationalize the deployed equipment

PowerEdge XE Resident Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Activities
Data Center Operations
Support daily operational activities.
Proactively identify and communicate issues, including:
Amber lights
Environmental concerns
Hot aisles/doors
Escort Dell field engineers
Infrastructure Administration
BIOS lifecycle management
User administration
Patching and updates
Version maintenance
Documentation & Asset Management
Elevation diagrams/rack elevations
Runbooks
Serial number tracking
LOIS parts management (when applicable)
Customer & Dell Coordination
Coordinate maintenance activities
Schedule break/fix activities (Dell and third-party)
Perform customer-directed infrastructure updates
Description:
Must have Skills : PowerEdge Rack/Tower Experience, RHEL and Ubuntu OS, Experience working in a larger server environment
Nice to have Skills : PowerEdge XE server experience
Detailed Project Tasks :
• Support day to day data center activities
• Proactively walk the data center through the day, watching/alerting customer of amber lights, "hot" doors etc.
• Escort dispatched field engineers (when applicable)
• LOIS parts management (will be trained once onsite)
• Maintain documentation of the environment: serial numbers, elevations, runbooks, etc.
• Coordinate with customer for any maintenance activities: power maintenance, cooling maintenance, containment wall maintenance, etc.
• This includes coordinating with non Dell support teams on the customer's behalf to help drive issue resolution.
• Performs BIOS lifecycle management, adding users, patching
• Triage with Dell support for scheduling FSE break/fix activities
• Works at the direction of the customer team to update versions as needed
• Resource must be onsite 5 days - there are no exceptions
Training: After a candidate is selected, they will be required to complete the Dell XE Server training via TechDirect. We'll need the partner company to submit the access request promptly so the resident can get started. The plan is for the resident to complete the 45 hours of training during the background check period, and this must be finished before the residency start date.
