Job Description:
Position Summary
Crown Holdings is seeking an experienced Senior Programmer Analyst to join our centralized Information Systems team supporting manufacturing operations across the United States and Canada.
This position plays a key role in the development, modernization, enhancement, and support of critical business applications that support customer order management, manufacturing, production control, and financial operations. The ideal candidate combines strong IBM i technical expertise with business analysis skills and a passion for delivering reliable, scalable solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As a senior member of the team, you will work closely with business stakeholders, lead development efforts, mentor team members, and contribute to strategic application modernization initiatives.
What You'll Do
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
7+ years of application development and support experience in an IBM i (AS/400) environment.
Strong experience with:
RPG Free
RPG IV / ILE RPG
SQL
CL Programming
Db2 for i
Experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing enterprise business applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, customer service, and financial business processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams.
Strong Knowledge of APIs, web services, and systems integration
