What You'll Do
As a Senior HVAC Service Technician, you'll serve as a technical expert and trusted resource for both customers and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC and VRF systems
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of refrigeration circuits, controls, and system performance issues
- Lead VRF remediation, commissioning support, and system optimization efforts
- Communicate professionally with customers to explain findings, recommend solutions, and ensure satisfaction
- Manage service documentation, equipment records, and parts procurement
- Maintain efficient scheduling and job completion while delivering high-quality workmanship
- Support startup, testing, and performance verification of HVAC equipment
- Mentor and develop junior technicians through hands-on training and field leadership
- Collaborate with service managers and operations teams to improve processes and service delivery
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, manufacturer requirements, and company procedures
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, controls, electrical diagnostics, and HVAC equipment
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems
- Manufacturer certifications or specialized HVAC training
- Experience mentoring technicians or serving in a lead role
- Familiarity with building automation and modern control systems
